Our passion for wildlife and adventure led us to the beginning of Excellent Guides Tours & Safaris, and we’re thrilled to share our love of Africa with you.
As two expert and experienced safari guides, we’ve spent countless hours exploring the African wilderness and sharing our knowledge and love of wildlife with our guests. We’ve witnessed incredible wildlife sightings, met fascinating people, and had unforgettable experiences that have fueled our passion for safaris.
After years of working for other safari companies, we decided to start our own company with the goal of providing an authentic, immersive, and personalized safari experience for our guests. We believe in the importance of giving back to our community and being environmentally responsible. We strive to make a positive impact in the world by supporting several charitable organizations and initiatives.
In addition to our charitable giving and volunteer resources, we are committed to being environmentally responsible. We recognize that we have a responsibility to minimize our environmental impact, and we take this responsibility seriously. We have implemented multiple initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint, including reducing waste, energy conservation, and using sustainable materials whenever possible.
Community Charitable Initiatives:
- A portion of every safari payment is donated to improve the lives of impoverished women and children living in a poor standard of life or those vulnerable by HIV/AIDS.
- Excellent Guides Tours & Safaris visits and supports abandoned children in residential group homes, and donates food, clothing and school supplies.
- Excellent Guides Tours & Safaris assists with school financing – both in building new schools and providing technology and supplies.
- Excellent Guides Tours & Safaris donates scholarships to university students so that they can pursue advanced degrees. This enables our youth to thrive and compete in world economics and business.
- Drinking water from mud waterholes and rivers creates cholera. Excellent Guides Tours & Safaris provides monetary support to water filter projects at the local government level to ensure a safe water supply.
Environmental and Wildlife protection
As global climate change poses a severe threat to Earth, Tanzania has been greatly affected. Excellent Guides Tours & Safaris’ relief initiatives include:
- Tree planting — trees reduce the amount of storm water, thus reducing environmental erosion and pollution. We collaborate with with the traditional and local leaders of villages around the northern parks to follow up on the planting projects are under our support.
- Excellent Guides Tours & Safaris has several environmental programs to help raise conservation awareness.
- Excellent Guides Tours & Safaris works with the Tanzania government to ensure the health and safety of tourists in our parks and support of Park Rangers.
- We assist with the removal of snares in Serengeti National Park where wire snares are deployed by illegal bush meat hunters who target wild herbivores. Snare and snaring are threatening to both migratory and sedentary wild animals.
- We assist in the efforts to end poaching on the vast plains of Serengeti National Park to protect our wildlife.
- Responsible Travel

- Vehicle Safety: Our safari vehicles are well-maintained and equipped with safety features such as roll bars and seat belts. We also limit the number of guests per vehicle to ensure everyone has a comfortable and safe ride.
- Wildlife Viewing: We follow strict guidelines when viewing wildlife, keeping a safe distance at all times and avoiding any actions that may provoke the animals.
